- Abstract
We thank Cheng I et al i . for their comments regarding our review on pregnant patients affected by coronavirus[1]. A rolling review conducted by Prof. Thornton and colleagues (https://ripe-tomato.org/2020/03/22/covid-19-in-pregnancy/) indicates that, as of 13 May 2020, 806 women had been reported to be affected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in pregnancy, and of these, 457 had delivered and were alive, 80 had become seriously unwell and, sadly, 21 (2%) had died. To address the uncertainties of pregnant women and clinicians during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, a number of studies are underway.
