- Abstract
In our experience in France, four patients with a prostate volume >120 mL underwent Rezum therapy, one of whom required reoperation, and the other three of whom were unable to discontinue their BPH medication [2]. First of all, we would like to commend the authors for their effort in rigorously and prospectively collecting data on Rezum therapy in these patients, which was, until now, an unmet need as patients with large prostate volumes were excluded from the pilot trial. We read with great interest the article by Elterman et al. [1], reporting on the efficacy and safety of water vapour thermal therapy using the Rezum system (Boston Scientific Company Inc., Marlborough, MA, USA) to treat patients with large prostate volumes (>=80 mL), which was published recently in the I BJUI i .
