- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 68-year-old woman who presented with a slowly enlarging right breast lump. Biopsy revealed invasive carcinoma; mastectomy was performed. However, after 10 months, the patient presented with acute shortness of breath and succumbed to disease less than 3 months after the diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer. This case highlights that metastasis and death can occur in secretory breast carcinoma despite the reported indolent nature of this disease.
