- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of positron emission tomography (PET) scans in patient with high index of suspicion of metastatic breast disease. It discloses on the case of a 54-year-old woman who undergo PET scan to conduct the routine breast investigations and due to high index of suspicion of metastasis. It argues on the profound implications of correct diagnosis in the prognosis and management of patients as well as of thorough investigations in discovering other diseases.
