- Abstract
The article discusses a case which highlights the importance of recognizing fibronectin glomerulopathy in the pediatric population where other conditions associated with fibrillary electron dense deposits are very rare. It defines fibronectin glomerulopathy as a rare glomerular disorder caused by extensive mesangial and subendothelial deposition of fibronectin, an extracellular protein involved in cell-matrix interactions that exists in a cellular form and a circulating form.
