- Abstract
Physical exercise in multiple sclerosis is not just a symptomatic therapy: It has a disease-modifying effect - Yes Exercise might represent an active comparator in future clinical trials of disease-modifying agents,[2] rather than placebos, and this will provide head-to-head evidence of exercise as a disease-modifying behavior in MS. If exercise has a disease-modifying effect in MS based on relapse, lesion, and disability progression end-points, what is the mechanism or biological basis?.
