- Abstract
This article explores the relationship between atopic dermatitis (AD) and colorectal cancer (CRC) and identifies TET2 as a shared gene signature between the two conditions. The downregulation of TET2 is associated with a poorer prognosis in CRC. Methylation analysis reveals a correlation between high methylation of specific sites in TET2, downregulation of TET2, and poor prognosis in CRC. The study suggests that TET2 has the potential to serve as a predictive marker for the efficiency of CRC immunotherapy. However, the study is limited to individuals of European ancestry, and further research is needed to understand the underlying mechanisms.
