PANORAMA.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the increased environmental interest of the U.S. Congress, as shown in its second session. It states that both legislative houses of the Congress have introduced bills in an effort to outrun the depressing timetable of Senate Minority Leader Hugh Scott and to further administrate the environmental problems in the country. Some of the members in both houses who introduced bills are Senator Howard Baker for the S-3410 or the National Environmental Laboratory Act of 1970 on February 6, Senator Gaylord Nelson for the eight separate bills to prohibit the use of persistent pesticides, and Spark M. Matsunaga for The Environmental Quality Education Act or HR-15511 on January 22, 1970.
