- Title
Raids on Immigrant Communities During the Pandemic Threaten the Country's Public Health.
- Authors
Lopez, Miriam Magaña; Holmes, Seth M.
- Abstract
An editorial concerning raids by agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency on immigrant communities during the COVID-19 pandemic is presented. The authors argue that ICE raids during the pandemic disobey public health recommendations, put individuals at risk of contracting the novel coronavirus, and contribute to the shortage of personal protective equipment.
