- Abstract
An editorial is presented which addresses the authors' views about the efforts of health care practitioners to educate older patients about emergency preparedness, and it mentions responses to large-scale disasters, America's aging population, and patient resiliency. The U.S. Veterans Health Administration's Home Based Primacy care program is examined, along with patient assessments, disaster planning, and the roles of home health agencies.
