- Abstract
In order to improve the waste heat recovery efficiency of high temperature semi-coke, the effects of the semi-coke diameter, semi-coke powder diameter and powder quantity on the convection heat transfer characteristic between semi-coke and steam with powder were investigated experimentally. Meanwhile, the experimental results of steam with powder were compared with that of steam without powder, and the influence mechanism of powder on the convection heat transfer characteristics was discussed. The results showed that, with the increase of semi-coke diameter, the fractal dimension decreases and the porosity increases. The semi-coke diameter determines the internal structure of semi-coke bed, which in turn affects convection heat transfer characteristics. The decrease of powder diameter and the increase of powder quantity are beneficial to the cooling of semi-coke. The amount of heat recovery, the exergy and effective heat transfer coefficient of steam with powder are larger than that of steam without powder, but the semi-coke temperature of steam with powder is lower than that of steam without powder. The powder as an intermediate medium of heat transfer improves the convection heat transfer efficiency, and the role of powder cannot be neglected in the research of convection heat transfer. Meanwhile, the influence mechanism of powder on the convection heat transfer was clarified.
