- Abstract
The article presents a study which assessed the expected impacts of changes in antimicrobial use, in the community and the hospital, over time. Topics discussed include evaluation of the relative effects of antimicrobial use across parameter ranges, effect ratios for comparison of setting specific changes in antibiotic use, and changes in extended-spectrum Beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Escherichia coli prevalence.
