- Abstract
The article reports a study which evaluated the use of hormonal emergency contraception (EC) and problems associated with it in adolescent and young adult women. The results revealed that Levonorgestrel EC pills are widely available and in use. Use of EC was more common among younger single women. Rural young women had misconceptions about EC. Many teenage women in developed countries had used EC. Teenage sexual and contraceptive behaviour needs to be explored to reduce teenage pregnancy rate.
