- Abstract
The article presents a medical research on a successful epidural infusion analgesia (EIA). Accordingly, an observational study of 540 patients who received EIA after abdominal surgery was conducted. Results show that 64% of EIAs were stopped, following pain team assessment and 65% of EIAs were effective for more than 48 hours. It is concluded EIA success as measured by pain team assessment or effectiveness of more than 48 hours is 64-65%.
