- Abstract
A literary criticism is provided of the ecopoetics, the human soul and anthropocentrism depicted within the work of the 19th century English poet Gerard Manley Hopkins. Hopkins' writing, including an essay on Aristotelian ethics and metaphysics, his 1873 lecture notes and the poem "The Sea and the Skylark," is discussed.
