- Abstract
The article discusses the works of surrealist painter Bridget Tichenor. It profiles Tichenor who was born in Paris,France in 1917 and became a fashion editor of the publication "Vogue." She came to Mexico in the 1940's and was exposed to the culture's cosmology. The article examines the influence of different cultures in Tichenor's works and their cosmovision, which refers to the combination of the understanding of the cosmos from several cultures. It also discusses several of Tichenor's works including "The Surrealists," "Pyramid, Snail, and the Moon," and "Tortoise in the Name of the Academy of Minerva." The article also examines the symbolisms from Mexican culture in the works of Tichenor.
