- Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of vibration training on blood pressure and bone mineral density in postmenopausal women. Methods A total of 77 subjects were recruited to determine the screening and grouping. A single vibration training was conducted and blood pressure was monitored in 24 hours for all subjects after the training. Blood pressure, bone mineral density, GH,and IGF-1 were measured before and 24 weeks after the vibration training. Single factor analysis and independent T test were used to compare the differences among groups and before and after the experiment. Results After 24 hours of blood pressure monitoring, systolic blood pressure showed a significant increase trend in high frequency vibration group in the period of 5: 00-10: 00,which was significantly higher than that in the medium frequency vibration group, low frequency vibration group, and control group ( P < 0. 05) . The 24-hour dynamic systolic pressure was significantly lower in the moderate frequency vibration group than in the high frequency vibration group, the low frequency vibration group, and the control group. After 24 weeks of training, systolic blood pressure was significantly lower in the high frequency vibration group, the middle frequency vibration group, and the low frequency vibration group than before the training and in the control group ( P < 0. 05) . Bone mineral density of the femoral neck, the great trochanter, and Ward's triangle, and the levels of GH and IGF-I were significantly higher in the high frequency vibration group and the middle frequency vibration group than those in the control group and the pre-test ( P < 0. 05) . Conclusion Single high-frequency vibration training causes morning hypertension in postmenopausal women. In the absence of adaptation, there is a certain risk of high frequency vibration training for postmenopausal women. Systolic blood pressure decreases in postmenopausal women after single intermediate frequency vibration training. Long-term acceptance of intermediate frequency and high frequency vibration training significantly reduces menstrual women blood pressure, and increases bone mineral density of the lower extremities.
