Keywords: asbestosis; low dose CT EN asbestosis low dose CT 427 427 1 04/11/22 20220501 NES 220501 We thank Sangani et al. for their interest in our recent study which described low-dose CT detected interstitial lung abnormalities (ILA) in a longitudinal population exposed to asbestos.1 We agree that the definition of CT-defined ILA may require review and standardization. Asbestosis, low dose CT This suggests that either asbestos at low exposure is capable of causing a chronic stable phenotype of asbestosis, and/or that these criteria used may be over-diagnosing subtle ILA as asbestosis.
