- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 66-year-old bisexual man with undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD) who presented with a 10-day history of worsening pustular lesions on his left hand, penis, and scrotum. Topics covered include the medical history of the patient, the findings of physical and laboratory examinations which led to the diagnosis of monkeypox virus (MPV), and the factors behind the inefficacy of smallpox vaccine received by the patient as a child.
