- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 96-year-old woman who was admitted in the hospital for having persistent and productive cough and hemoptysis for three days. It reveals the pleural thickening and bronchiectasis in the right lung observed during chest radiograph and computed tomogram. It emphasizes on the capacity of therapeutic pneumothorax to treat pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). It notes that long-term complications of the disease include hemoptysis, bronchiectasis, and pleural thickening.
