- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the other reactions that occur in the course of Poly(30-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) thermal degradation and examines thermal degradation mechanism in more detail. Samples of the PHB films were dissolved in chloroform and cast on the surface of a Petri dish before a thermal degradation analysis and the formed films were washed by methanol and vacuum dried. Crotonic anhydrides and its oligomers were detected as minor products from condensation reaction.
