- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 53 year-old woman with an unusual etiology of joint pain. She had was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus involving larynx, kidneys, and bone marrow and was treated with azathioprine and prednisone. It states that with anti fungal treatment, there was improvement of shoulder pain. It mentions liver enzymes and count of white blood cell returned to normal condition. It mentions that fungal cultures were sterile.
