- Abstract
In order to solve the problem of high tin content in cassiterite flotation tailings from a concentrator of Yunnan Tin Co. Ltd.. low-cost gravity separation methods were used to recover the tin. Firstly, the flotation tailings of cassiterite were pre enriched by spiral chute, and then further enriched by suspension vibrating cone concentrator. The effects of feed concentration. washing water volume and feed rate on the product indexes of spiral chute primary separation and the effects of feed concentration, vibration frequency and rotation frequency on the product indexes of suspension vibration cone concentrator gravity separation were investigated. The results show that under the optimum condition of feeding concentration. washing water and feeding amount are 35%. 0.5 L/s and 2. 8 L/s respectively. the coarse concentrate with SnO2, grade of 1.88% and recovery of 32. 40% can be obtained by spiral chute. The optimal pulp concentration. vibration frequency and rotation frequency of suspension vibration cone concentrator are 25%. 30 Hz and 16 Hz respectively under this condition. the final concentrate product with SnO2. grade of 5.02% and recovery rate of 16. 23% can be obtained. Compared with raw materials, the enrichment ratio is 21. 83 times, which can be sold as rich medium mineral products.
