- Title
Learning From the Past to Measure the Future.
- Authors
Cassel, Christine K.; Kronick, Richard
- Abstract
The authors argue that the availability of data and analytic tools allow incentive payments for value and quality of medical care to work in relation to measures related to U.S. Medicare payments. Topics include the development of metrics regarding health care quality, the work of the public-private partnership organization National Quality Forum, and the connection of measurements of healthcare quality to intrinsic motivation held by practitioners.
