Focuses on a study conducted by M.B. Schindler, et al, published in a 1996 edition of the `New England Journal of Medicine,' which examines the survival rate of children in the United States after cardiac arrest that occurred outside the hospital setting. Factors that predicted survival until hospital discharge; Conclusion that resuscitative efforts should be limited to 20 minutes and two doses of epinephrine following cardiac arrest that occurs outside the hospital setting.
