- Title
Extending Polyketide Structural Diversity by Using Engineered Carboxylase/Reductase Enzymes.
- Authors
Kundert, Jana; Gulder, Tobias A. M.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the findings of several research studies which extended polyketide structural diversity by using engineered carboxylase/reductase (ECR) enzymes. One study is related to structure-based engineering of the ECR homologue AntE, which is involved in antimycin biosynthesis. Another study is on the substrate scope of ECRs from primary and secondary metabolism.
