- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses a research related to steely enzymes involved in prestalk and prespore pattern formation. Topics discussed include a product of SteelyA enzyme, 4-Methyl-5-pentylbenzene-l,3-diol (MPBD) controls Dictyostelium spore maturation, MPBD regulates spore differentiation from the early stage by creating a bias between the cells, and double-knockout mutant including stlA and stlB lost pstA marker gene expression. Other topics discussed include unicellular amoeba.
