- Abstract
The article focuses on guidelines implementation of the 2004 National Heart Foundation of Australia (NHFA) which was re-issued in 2007. It states that all patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) should be assessed and treated for depression. It examines the extent of guidelines adoption in two rural hospitals, Wimmera and Mount Gambier, and their surrounding practices. It also provides an assessment whether or not the guidelines had changed the clinical practice.
