- Abstract
In article number 1801430, Peter H. L. Notten and co‐workers investigate the degradation mechanism of all‐solid‐state, thin film Si‐Li3PO4‐LiCoO2 batteries via in operando Neutron Depth Profiling. The degradation of the Si‐based batteries originates from the immobilization of lithium in the solid‐state electrolyte adjacent to the silicon anode. It is demonstrated that Li‐immobilization is induced by Si‐migration into the solid‐state electrolyte under current flowing conditions.
