- Abstract
The article focuses on the U.S. and Japanese perspectives of nuclear energy policies in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi Disaster which was occurred on March 11, 2011. It discusses a report released by the Fukushima Nuclear Accident Independent Investigation Commission of Japan on the causes of the nuclear meltdown. It mentions that Daniel A. Dorfman of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recommended the maximization of nuclear energy in response to the Fukushima disaster. It highlights the nuclear waste problem in the U.S.
