- Abstract
The article discusses the study which assess genetic divergence degree between dogs with the same breed in distant countries. The study involves dog breeds including German shepherd dogs, labrador retrievers, and Jack Russell terriers from Great Britain and South Africa wherein microsatellite markers were applied to assess genetic divergence. Result shows that the breeds were genetically similar in South Africa and Great Britain.
