- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 72-year-old man who was taken to the emergency room because of thrombocytopenia. Physical examination showed petechiae and purpura over his entire body and no coagulation abnormalities were found. Blood chemistry analysis indicated no renal or liver dysfunction. The article discusses refractory immune thrombocytopenic purpura.
