- Abstract
The article reports on the importance of dental units in the mechanical transfer of oral bacteria. A study was conducted on dental offices to determine the degree of contamination associated with the transmission of infection to dental patients or dentists. A water syringe, water spray, bracket tables, and the air in the dental office were tested. It was found that streptococci, staphylococci, diphtheroids, and actinomyces were present.
