WHY STREP THROAT COMES BACK.
- Abstract
The article discusses a study which analyzes reasons for which some kids are more susceptible than others to contracting recurrent group A strep tonsillitis, better known as strep throat. According to scientist Matthew Brigger, repeated strep throat is the second most common indication for the removal of tonsils in children and surgery associated with it increase the risk of upper respiratory tract diseases in the long term.
