- Abstract
In order to improve the water stability of permeable asphalt mixture, the effect of fiber on permeable asphalt mixture was studied. By adding 0, 0.30%, 0.35%, 0.40%, 0.45% and 0.50% basalt fiber and lignin fiber into the permeable asphalt mixture, the immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test were carried out to study the influence of fiber type and content on the water stability of permeable asphalt mixture. The experimental results show that lignin fiber can improve the stability and residual stability of asphalt mixture. When the content is 0.40%, asphalt mixture has better residual stability than other contents. The effect of basalt fiber on freezing and thawing splitting strength of asphalt mixture is more obvious than that of lignin fiber. When the content is 0.35%, the freezing and thawing splitting strength of asphalt mixture is the best.
