Patients with immunoglobulin light chain amyloidosis undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation have superior outcomes compared with patients with multiple myeloma: a retrospective review from a tertiary referral center. Systemic light chain (AL) amyloidosis is a clonal plasma cell disorder characterized by abnormal immunoglobulin production that misfolds into amyloid fibrils and deposits in organs causing morphologic and physiologic dysfunction.
