- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 31-year-old man presented with acute respiratory distress, fatigue and persistent fever and diagnosed with lymphoma associated with human herpes virus 8 (HHV8). Topics discussed include the patient's history cutaneous and pulmonary Kaposi sarcoma and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, partial expression of CD19 shown on flow cytometry and importance of immunophenotyping in determining the abnormal cells and establishing a definitive diagnosis.
