- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines the genotypes and prevalence of Giardia duodenalis in beef and dairy cattle in farms in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The study used RNA sequencing, immunofluorescence, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results show that the prevalence rates were 40% and 41% for cows in tie- and free-stall herds, while 27% in beef cattle.
