- Abstract
The article outlines recommendations for pneunococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV12) use, provides guidance for use of PCV13 and PPSV23 among adults at least 65 years and summarizes the evidence considered by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to make its recommendation. Topics discussed include Streptococcus pneumoniae as the leading infection cause of serious illness among older adults in the U.S. and recommended routine PCV13 and PPSV23 among older adults in the U.S.
