- Title
THE EFFECT OF ALDRIN ON YIELD AND SLUG DAMAGE IN CARROTS IN SOUTH WALES.
- Authors
Jones, T. P.
- Abstract
This article describes a study which examined the effect of aldrin on yield and slug damage in carrots. Different rates of aldrin dust were used in carrot fly (Psila rosae) control trials on allotments in South Wales, and yield increase was proportional to the amount of active ingredient used. On some sites the increase was associated with a decrease in fly damage, but on others there was a substantial increase in yield in the complete absence of fly damage.
