- Abstract
The article reports legal developments relating to special education in the U.S. The state of Tennessee has passed legislation for new funding formulas, provisions for personnel training, materials, facilities and guarantees of the rights of handicapped children. A new subcomittee has been formed within the U.S. Senate Labor and Public Welfare Committee to deal legislation pertaining to the handicapped. The New Mexico Attorney General has ruled that the federal law governing special education is in contrary with the state's special education law.
