- Abstract
The author reflects on the goal of the "African Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health" (AJM) to provide a forum regarding maternal health research to improve clinical practice. She stresses the significance of published research themes such as teenage pregnancy and intimate partner violence in achieving the millennium development goal (MDG) of improving access to reproductive health services. Also mentioned are valuable contributions received from midwives and nurses in African countries.
