- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 58-year-old man with subacute cognitive and personality change, with fluctuating memory impairment but preserved remote memory. He began to suffer from episodic consciousness changes associated with brief dystonic jerking events, while the jerks were characterized as unilateral facial grimacing, neck turning and ipsilateral proximal arm flexion posturing. The case demonstrates faciobrachial dystonic seizures associated with Hashimoto encephalopathy.
