NF90 is a new substrate of PRMT5 Based on this strong I in vitro i interaction, we performed radioactive I in vitro i methylation assays with recombinant NF90 and active PRMT5 to test whether NF90 is methylated by PRMT5. The obtained methylation deficient mutant (NF90-7x R-to-K) and the NF90 wildtype protein were expressed in I E. coli i and the purified recombinant proteins were subsequently analyzed by methylation assays (Figure 3A).
