- Abstract
The author reflects on the challenges in delivering cancer services to ageing and dispersed population in Australia. They say that the first challenge is on developing an adequate appropriate evidence base for cancer treatment in ageing population for it is forecasted that about seven million of Australians will continue to live in metropolitan areas wherein percentage of the disease occurs in the area. They add that an emphasis for cancer services must be included in medical planning.
