- Abstract
The article deals with the response of U.S. Coast Guard Financial Management to disasters. After the results of Hurricane Katrina, Coast Guard air and boat crews had a search and rescue operations that saved 35,735 lives. Financial support and logistics were also provided. The Coast Guard managed the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act which was designed to aid the local governments and citizens after disasters.
