- Abstract
This article discusses a video footage of epimeletic behavior in a group of Guiana dolphins resulting from a fatal interaction between a dolphin and a motorboat in Pipa Bay, Rio Grande do Norte State, Brazil. It tackles the susceptibility of the species to incidential mortality, interspecific epimeletic behavior in dolphins, and the implications of the negative interactions between dolphins and the dolphin-watching activity for boat traffic regulations.
