- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the professionalization of audiology. The author mentions the study by Bennett and Steiger which reveals that there is no progress in professionalizing audiology. He says that audiologists must accept their responsibilities and rights on being an independent health-care providers and present themselves as professionals. He suggests that audiologists must create an environment that will build the confidence of the patients and trust in the services.
