- Abstract
The article discusses the Important Bird Area (IBA) Program under the nature conservation partnership Birdlife International protecting significant bird sites and biological diversity. Topics covered include the standards of an IBA focusing on species, habitat and population, places that are significant in Connecticut such as the Sleeping Giant State Park, Durham Meadows and Poquetanuck Cove, and its partnership with the National Audubon Society.
