- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 50 year old woman with acute urinary retention. According to the report, she has undergone vaginal hysterectomy and had started having irritative voiding symptoms with progressive worsening until she was unable to annul. In an attempt to place a Foley catheter, a gauze was inferred protruding from the urethral meatus. Furthermore, a methylene-blue test foreclosed the presence of vesicovaginal fistula.
